Mio FitStik Monitor ReviewMio Wellness MonitorThe Mio FitStik is a flash drive with specialized software that helps evaluate your wellness or degree of health. It is a combination of cardiohealth, biological age and wellness due to your daily health decisions. At A Glance
The Mio FitStik is an interesting device, and probably a very useful one. Basically, it's a flash drive with some preinstalled software that helps the user try and decide how healthy they are for their age versus how healthy they should be. If this sounds simple, that's because it is. The FitStik will ask the user a number of questions that the user answers just off the top of their head and the Fitstik uses that information to decide how healthy the user is. The > These tests all ask separate questions to try and help the user try and figure out where they are most healthy and where they need the most improvement. The device sounds gimmicky, and to be honest it probably would be a gimmick if the software didn't also give you feedback and tips to help improve your health. If the FitStik didn't offer this information then basically the software wouldn't tell you anything you couldn't figure out on your own - does cardiovascular activity leave you feeling winded? Do more cardio until you aren't as easily winded. At the end of the day, the FitStik basically turns into a low-budget personal trainer that you can carry with you and use anywhere there is a computer with USB ports.
While the sticker price is around fifty dollars, it can be found online for closer to thirty. That being said, thirty dollars still seems a bit high for this device. If you are at all capable, it seems to be much cheaper to simply keep track of your progress yourself. The FitStik does help to quantify and visually represent the data it is given, but if a customer is serious about fitness the FitStik doesn’t really deliver anything that fantastic, not in a day and age where fitness tips are a web search away. At a glance, the FitStik doesn’t seem to offer anything that a mixture of common sense and easily obtained knowledge can’t compensate for. But if you like the convenience of being able to always have your heatlh attributes at your fingertips and can't be bothered remembering which website has what data, this might be worth the $30. Customer Review:And here's what some of the customers who bought the Mio FitStik have to say about it: ..."I've found this tool to be a great addition to my wellness routine"...
